Pretty much on a daily basis people call me freaking out about lice. What should they do? How do they know if it's really lice and not some other bug? I am constantly talking people off the ledge. I honestly think its the best part about this job! Sometimes people really don't have lice. I have them take photos and they text them to me. They are so thankful when I text them back and tell them it's not a louse. You can without a doubt hear it in their voices. It actually makes me feel ok about the fact 7000 strangers have my cell number. lol. Then there are those who I have to give the bad news to. They are not so calm. Those are the people and moments I enjoy helping. I calm them and give them options. It doesn't always have to be me as an option, but what is always the option is I lend an ear to listen, a compassionate understanding and I give lots of free lice advice. #licemakesstrangersfriends (unless of course they gave it to you ~ lol)
